WHYYYYYYY!!!! T_T
I know that talks about Ray-ray signing with the Heat has been hanging around since the start of the free agency but I never, even for a split second, thought of it as something that could come into fruition. It’s just so ridiculous man. Even my brain refuses to let the idea in. This just can’t be possible.
But now that it is all but sign, sealed and delivered I think my brain’s gonna explode trying to process such fcukery. WHYYY! :’( Even now that the shock has considerably settled, I still can’t wrap my head around him wearing this Heat uniform. I wish I could just say, ‘it is what it is’ and move the fcuk on but dude, it is just so damn hard to accept! A ‘Ray Allen for three’ from the commentators will never be the same ever again. :(
So long Ray-ray. But still, all the best for you. Thank you for that five very memorable years. (I still can’t manage to put a smiley face at the end of that sentence so let’s just settle with.. nothing. For now.)
How I wish Ashton Kutcher would just pop out of nowhere though. Dyin-dyin, you have just been Punk’d.

Yes folks, this is an avid hater, conceding.

Okay so LBJ finally did it. Although every inch of my body is protesting to what I’m about to say but guess I’ll have to say it anyway — Congrats on your first ring LBJ. You deserve it — more than, really. But I still don’t like you tho. Duh dyin, as if your like preference matters.     (-__-“)

Now with that being said, I hafta get out of this house! Badly need a breather. Off to somebody’s loft to down some alcohol and have some whines rolling. Toodles losers! Haha.

*And yes, I’m writing this with under 5 minutes to play. Cushioning the blow.. not.. really. C’mon OKC, it wasn’t suppose to be this easy… but yeah man, it is what it is. Stop sourgraping and drink ya cold ice beer! Choswanmelyontayms.

You, LBJ, you.

So I just got off from a heating debate with Kram about Lebron James. And I was so into it that Papa, as if on cue, had to characteristically pop out the generic, not to mention very irritating question of ‘Why do you hate Lebron so much? He’s the best player in the league for crying out loud!’Blaaah. Blah. Blah. Well lucky him, I was so spent with Kram that I opted to shrug off and just lock myself in the room.

But then again, his never dying question finally took its toll on my Lebron-hating self that I just have to spare some time tryna figure it out. (Haha. Dako kaayo akong problema dah.)

Why? What is it with Lebron that I just can’t bring my ass to root for him? Sure, I hated him for “The Decision” and the Not 1, not 2, but 8 championships crap, but I guess that’s not only it. Well, maybe, I just had to settle with the simple, glaring fact of him being him — the Lebron James.

I mean c’mon, he is the Lebron James. The King. The promised one since the Michael Jordan era. The complete package. Just the right amount of mass, length and agility, not to mention topnotch basketball skills and athleticism. Hell, he can pass and create plays if he wants to. Or he can just drive through the basket with that unstoppable speed and sureness. Pick your poison.

But goodness gracious, why can’t he get it done!!?? He’s got everything he could possibly need — an equally talented partner, a sufficient bench. C’mon, you can’t ask for a deeper bench if you have James, Wade and Bosh in your team, can you? Besides, this team he have right here is way, way better than the one he had in his previous club. No offense meant.

Now, if the championship is all that matters to him, why can’t he just get past all these pressures, keep it on the sidelines, jump the gun and do what he does best in the court? Give the fans, and most importantly, himself, the ultimate satisfaction of bagging the championship trophy. Then consequently shutting the haters as the cherry on top.

Don’t get me wrong, the Celtics is and will always be my team. And I’m gonna diss on everyone who’s getting in the way of the 18th banner — him included. Besides, that’s what a normal loyal fan should do, right?

But then again, that’s just my fan self talking. My objective self has something else to say. I just can’t discount Lebron’s overflowing potential that it comes to a point of disgusting frustration. Just when I’m about to concede to his greatness (especially when they knocked down the Celtics in 5 games last year), he choked right in the freaking Finals. Just when the chance is at the tip of his fingers, he slowly faded away from it. Like, what is the f*cking matter with you?

*I know he just got out from a video game stat but dude, as long as he is ringless, these criticisms won’t go away. And if Games 2 and 3 of the Heat-Pacers series were any indication, he isn’t that high-strung to be a champ. Because if he were, he wouldn’t have let two semi-final games slip away just like that. Don’t you think?*

LAST OPINE FOR THE PLAYOFFS.

I’m a huge Celtics fan and not really of the NBA. If they’re eliminated in the playoffs like what happened in 2009 due to KG’s injury, I wouldn’t proceed to watch the games. I would settle on hearing updates from Papa or my brothers then just shrug off. Although, I would want Orlando to win at that time, it’s not much of a big deal to me when they were almost swept by the Lakers. However, this year’s playoffs is somehow different. It undoubtedly engaged me to watch every game that I could manage to watch. Especially when the top-seeded Spurs were eliminated by the eight-seeded Grizzlies in the western conference. Well maybe this is what jobless people do, busy themselves with whatever the TV has to offer. Whatchuthink? Anyhow, I guess I know why this playoffs interest me this much - it has got to do with the newly revamped Miami Heat roster. And now, as expected, they are already in the Finals with Lebron seeming to lose interest in getting his first ring. (I’m bias, I know).

So why root for Dallas and deny Miami the O’Brien trophy? Let me dissect to you why.

Why root for Dallas:

1. The Dallas line-up as a whole. Who would have thought that this line-up have the ability to shake the dynasty this Miami team is attempting to build? I mean, yes, they were able to sweep the Lakers, but we all know that a lot of outside factors have contributed to that. In this series, the Mavs have proven yet again that it’s all about teamwork and not superstars packed in a single team.

2. Dirk Nowitzki. What’s not to root for Dirk? On the court, he’s the most clutch player (besides Ray Allen) in the league. Dirty plays are rarely if not never associated to him. Off the court, he’s a music and fun-loving guy, not to mention a nice boyfriend who just proposed to his lucky girl. (Forget about his ex okay?) Plus, he’s one of the few white men that can really dominate the league. That’s rare you know.

That’s his signature and sometimes awkward one-legged fade away over Boshtrich. Haha. Obviously his legs were not shown though, I can’t find a better picture. My bad.

3. Jason Kidd. Before, I think he deserves a ring, but now, I just wanna hand it down to him. C’mon, he’s 38 and worked hard in all his 17 (not sure about this) seasons. It’s all but his time now. (I don’t want him to follow Malone, Stockton and Ewing’s footsteps you know). Plus he’s a cool dude, just discount his careless and unveteran-like turnovers.

4. Jason Terry. I don’t know, but I like him. He’s loud, overly expressive and all, but I like him. I hope his ink stays.

5. Tyson Chandler. The big guy has stepped up and improved his defense since the disappointing Game1. He was also able to curb his foul troubles which kept them alive throughout the series. And oh by the way, he keeps a blog too. I’m just not so sure if he’s really the one behind it though.

The picture’s irrelevant but this is too funny, I just had to post. Haha. This was when the two Germans were not teammates yet. (Obviously).

6. Shawn Marion. All I know about him is he is nicknamed ‘The Matrix’ and that he’s a former Suns. And oh, his lack of neck length is somewhat…cute. Haha.

7. JJ Barea. He’s such a cutie. Looks like a bonsai plant among Narra trees. Haha. And he can deliver, mind you. What with the defense-slicing he’s been fond to do lately?

8. Rick Carlisle. He’s a former Celtic! ‘Nough said.

9. Mark Cuban. He’s been mum all through out the series. Which I think is a good thing. (No pic. It’s hopeless to find a silent Mark Cuban pic. Haha.)

10. They’re the most resilient team in the league. How many times were they trailing behind double digit numbers, then dramatically make a run and clinch the game?

11. Lastly, this maybe the last time that this exact Mavericks line-up could have a legit run for a title especially that a rumored lock-out is impending. (Just like this maybe the last time for the Celtics to have a legit run for another title. Sob. :[ ) See? I feel for this bunch.

Why deny Miami:

1. First of all, I can’t help but consider this pooling together of the Heat’s Big 2 and 1/2 (Big 3, my ass!) as the biggest conspiracy Pat Riley has ever pull off. He must really be a good sweet-talker.

2. Lebron James. I’ts okay to admit he can’t win it on his own, he needed help. And I can’t blame him for choosing Dwade as his partner in crime. But doing it with side comments about his former teammate’s inability to effectively help him is downright annoying. Just shut up and go away.

And another thing, it seems like this dude doesn’t want to toil hard for his ring anymore. It seems like this alpha dog is handing the bulk of work to his minions now. Ever noticed his disappearing acts in the last two games? And oh, drop that fatigue factor. Everyone worked hard all season long, not only him. And don’t blame Rashard Lewis, puhleaaaase!

3. Dwayne Wade. I’ve liked him until he intentionally inadvertently injured Rondo. (I told you I’m biased)

4. Chris Bosh. He was nice in Toronto with his Turiaf-like hair, but he’s still an ostrich to me. Oops. And when he headed South Beach, he was starting to look like a T-rex.

By far, the most accurate picture of Bosh’s place in the so-called Big 3. Haha. Okay, I’m kidding.

5. Erik Spoelstra. If this Heat nail the championship then I will still have one reason to be happy, and that is for the Fil-Am coach and for him alone. But gaaahd, I still can’t ignore Pat Riley’s annoying presence in the courtside. It’s tarnishing my soft spot for Erik S.

6. Their preseason welcome party was just the most annoying party I’ve ever seen. How about counting the rings before you can even wear it LBJ?

Look at Bosh’s shouting ostrich/tough guy facade in the welcome party.

7. James’ and Wade’s mocking on Dirk’s 101-degree fever. For evidence, click here. Really, these dudes make it easy for people to hate on them.

8. And lastly, this top 2003 class draftees just can’t gel out this fast! It’s just.. unfair. They’re young. They still have plenty of time. You know…

Well it seems like the tide is in favor for Dallas now with their team effort paying off and Lebron’s subpar performance doing them a huge favor. Hence, I shouldn’t have this familiar, unnerving feeling at all. But then unwanted memories hit back - A year ago, my beloved Cs were on this very same mark - 1 win away from the title and headed to LA… then we all know what happened next.

Somebody give Lebron a fucking Oscar for this one.

This had me kicking the TV screen when the whistle came roaring in. Like WTF ref? Are you f*cking blind? (Sorry for the excessive use of expletives, I’m just feeling f*cking furious right now) I would have let it roll off my back because why would I be surprised anyway? This shit happens half of the time. But seeing Lebron cockily winking towards somebody (probably to Spoelstra) after the foul is called is completely another story - a whole shitty story. That was just too much. That was crossing the line. That wink had put the exclamation point in all the distaste I had for James. It had magnified the aversion and expunged that tiny speck of admiration I had for him. (Not that it matters if I like him or not, I’m just saying).
So if someone could just enlighten me, where’s the fair play in here? Them charging a fine on Noah for using a gay slur but letting this dirty play pass? C’mon, are they pretending not to see the replay or what? The fake is glaring everyone in the face. What he’s done is a big insult to the association. It’s like spitting to everyone’s faces that he can get away with any shit he does just because he’s the King or should I say, because he’s the big boss’s favorite? Be the judge.
If these officials could just grow a f*cking pair… Because seriously now, where’s the rules? Where’s keeping the association’s image untarnished? Where’s all of that Stern? Where? F*ck.
Now, you’re probably wondering why I’m fussing about this one now when it’s apparently old news. Well, because as the Finals is just around the corner, there are these bitchy rumors circulating around that might cost my entire respect for this association. But I’m clinging to that dwindling ounce of faith I had left. I hope juggernaut sports brand will keep their hands away from this. But more than that, I hope the high officials know better than to buy the f*cking bait.
